My father taught me to do sandstone carving, and I do it on a regular basis. Maxwell Street is a haven for young people to make a living. This is the only place you can come and not get into trouble. I'm going to Truman College and this helps me pay for my schooling. You can get skills in marketing because you have to cater to a variety of people. The Market brings on a spiritual vibe - no racism, everyone working together. We govern ourselves and we set this up ourselves. When they close this down here, it's over.
