Subject: MAXWELL STREET
M. Chancellor,
I was in Chicago a couple of years ago for a summer internship at U of C. As French citizen, I had to understand why and how talking about Blues and R&B always ended up to talking about Chicago. Even if we don't always like it, your country spread its culture all over the world: Mc Donald's, Coca-Cola, Marlboro *AND* Rock and Roll Music. The Mobil gas station in my town is the exact Xerox Copy of the one on 53rd E!
I wouldn't quote one of your late President, but please DON'T forget that every music listener in the world in a citizen in Chicago.
Yours, sincerely.
