Dear Chancellor Broski:

I am personally very concerned over the future of the last remaining section of Maxwell Street.

While I never performed there myself, Maxwell Street and its place in Blues History has had a profound effect on me because of the many great musicians who performed there.

Yes, there were those few who were fortunate to make a name for themselves, and their importance to the district should be appreciated and respected.

However, more importantly for the musicians and other street entertainers who gave of their natural talent and remain only a memory with those who were there to share that magic moment in time, this must be preserved.

Your bold consideration, to take the necessary steps to save this precious little piece of the history of the music that has been so influential on the entire World will be cherished by the children of century's to come.

Very truly yours,

Buddy Guy
