Dear Chancellor Broski:
I am writing to express my support for the efforts of many in Chicago who view Maxwell Street as an area worth designating under historic preservation district status.
I know you are aware of this area's importance to the tradition of African American culture and the transformation of rural blues music to its urbanized electrified form.
All of us at House of Blues Entertainment Inc. are committed to seeing that this vestige of bygone Chicago gets recognized and at least in some part maintained as it now stands for future generations to see and enjoy.
