Some might say I was crazy to go out in the cold on Sunday November 12 -- just after the first snow of the season (three inches). Winter doesn't usually start this early in Chicago, but it was cold, about 30 degrees. I went anyway, feeling a little cabin fever. When I got to the market, the sun was shining a bit and as I walked around it warmed up. I'm not sure if the warmth came from the sun, the smiles of the vendors, or the hot tamales. I'm glad I went to shoot these eight scenes.
