More Information and Registration
Since the founding of the National Association of Produce Market Managers 50 years ago, the produce industry has gone through many changes. Whether the challenge is marketing, distribution of product, or politics, the produce industry has and will continue to change. The pressure placed on produce markets are becoming greater as markets become critical to the revitalization of urban cores across the country.
The 1996 National Association of Produce Market Managers Convention will focus on the changing forces that are affecting Produce Markets ranging from the largest terminal to the smallest retail markets. The 1996 conference, hosted by the City Market of Kansas City, Missouri, will offer a wide variety of programs that will be useful to terminal, wholesale, and retail markets as we all look toward the future.
This year the convention will be celebrated in the heart of Kansas City as the Embassy Suites Plaza Hotel, which is within walking distance of two of Kansas City's premier entertainment districts: Westport and the Country Club Plaza.
The City Market has the largest Farmers' Market in six states. Since first opening in 1857, it has been a tradition in Kansas City. We hope you will join us as we look at creating the traditions of tomorrow.
