Good day market people!
I would like to welcome Matt Armbrust to blog on the page.
He is currently traveling in Latin America and will post his reflections on markets and vending around the continent and Central America.
Matt has more than a decade of experience in sustainable agriculture, marketplaces, and food systems. He can tell you more about himself in his initial blog.
As for me, I'm working on a pattern book for marketplaces, and I'll become a more regular contributor in the weeks and months ahead.

Last week saw two market days at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in Cape Town. The concept of market day is not new to CPUT; it does take place about twice a year, allowing students, staff and other stakeholders to sell wide range of products and services on campus to the CPUT community. This is an interesting phenomenon, as it allows students especially, to showcase their sales and entrepreneurial skills while making some pocket money. Not a bad concept at all.
