In Nice, France, in the old part of town called to "zona pietone", or pedestrian zone, there is: "Sur Le Pouce" 4, rue St. Francois, 06300 NICE, tel. 93 13 98 23
There, they make SOCCA, a chick pea delicacy, which is eaten with lots of black pepper. At this restaurant, I had the Socca and a salad and a glass of the Provence rose wine. The SOCCA is a niceoise specialty, made nowhere else on earth that I know of.
