Mr. Broski:

I am writing to urge your consideration of the proposed plan for a Maxwell Street historic district. Not only was the area an incubator and a proving ground for Chicago jazz and blues musicians, but it was of vital significance to recent immigrants of all ethnic backgrounds. It was certainly one of the most renowned open-air markets in the world. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,

Thomas Moon
