Join in solidarity with local community groups for a rally and march protesting UIC expansionism into the old Maxwell Street area and its harmful impact on historic preservation, the environment, and the community.

* Bluesman Jimmie Lee Robinson will be there to sing his new Blues song: The Maxwell Street Tear Down Blues. Piano C. Red, of the Flat Foot Boogie Band, will be playing and singing blues also.

* Jim's Original will donate polish sausages for the protesters.

* Try to get there by 10:00AM to help make protest signs.

* The media have told us they will cover this.

* Join in the diverse spirit of Maxwell Street. This will be an historic event.
