Dear Sir,
As a concerned American for our national history, I urge you to consider the preservation of Maxwell Street in Chicago, IL. As you know Maxwell Street is the Beale Street of Chicago for Blues. As time passes the urgency increases for people like you and I to become involved in the saving of our treasures. I ask in all sincerity that you lend your attention to the cause of Maxwell Street. Our landmarks can fade away, or we can preserve them as there are memories etched in each corner of Maxwell Street. If we let those memories disappear to lack of attention, they are gone forever and forgotten.
