To Chancellor David C. Broski:

The music of the blues is part of the cultural heritage of America, and the Maxwell St. neighborhood of Chicago is one of those centers where this music evolved. Please take ANY necessary steps to preserve this part of Chicago, within the University of Illinois plans to renovate, or reconstruct this area. This is a historic landmark, a place where the renowned Muddy Waters played, for one. Preserve this part of America's cultural history!

Thank-you,

Sincerely,

Carol F. Black.
