They're keeping the tradition alive. In good weather, three blues bands regularly play at the New Maxwell Street Market. Visitors from all over the world still come to sit in with them. At this time, Willie James's Band plays at the far south end of the market; David Lindsey's Band plays in the middle of the market in front of the Terminal Tap; and Piano C. Red's Flat Foot Boogie Band plays at the northwest corner of Canal and Roosevelt Road, kitty corner to the Blues Bus.
