Vendors of StreetWise (a homeless newspaper) face elimination by politicians in Northwest Cook County.

Suburban vendors face roadblock but are determined to sell papers by Jennifer Atkin. Reprinted from StreetWise Newspaper, Dec. 1, 1995

Robert Schuller, the StreetWise person on the scene, told us that the vendors are from the suburbs -- they are not Chicago's homeless -- and that many were mentally ill. When we asked him what the suburban politicians wanted, he replied, " I think they want us to just go away. They don't care where. They want us to all just die." December 29, 1995.
